The process · from enquiry to floor
What happens from here.
A skipper is calm not because the sea is quiet — because they know what to do in every state of it. This is the whole route, step by step, including what happens if something goes wrong.
-
You send an enquiry
Helpful to have at hand: an approximate area, and a model if one has stayed with you. Neither is required.
What you decide here: how much detail to give. More detail — a more precise quotation from the first pass.
“I sent what I have — it’s with them now.”
-
A person replies
Within 1–3 business days, personally, from the Tapis team. We are closed from Friday evening to Saturday evening.
Nothing to decide here — we are working.
“People with names are holding my enquiry.”
-
You receive an itemized quotation
Floor, skirting, carrying to your floor, removal if needed, installation if you asked — each as its own line. The full list of what affects the price is here. Beside it: the warranty terms in writing (25 years residential · 15 years commercial) and the model’s data sheet.
What you decide: whether the quotation speaks to you. No clock, no “valid until”.
“I can see what every shekel is for — and I have it in writing.”
-
Questions and adjustments
WhatsApp or 04-8424262, with your reference number. A question about a line, a model swap, a quantity change — this is the natural stage for it.
What you decide: what to change, if anything.
“I asked, I got a straight answer, no pressure.”
-
You close the scope
Supply only, or supply with installation. Installation service — for floors purchased from us.
What you decide: the scope of the work.
“I closed exactly what I need — not someone else’s package.”
-
The material arrives, installation runs
The installation date is set against the installers’ schedule. Before laying, the boards are checked by eye — a visible defect is handled before, not after. The installation itself: floating click, no adhesive, in many cases over the existing floor — provided the subfloor is level, sound and dry. Special work — heavy carrying without an elevator, moving wardrobes, trimming doors, site preparation — is agreed in advance, as an installer’s extra. No surprises on the day.
What you decide: when it suits your home.
“They checked before they laid — no surprises after.”
-
Life on the floor
Normal washing with a well-wrung mop — yes. Standing water over time — no, and we say so everywhere, not in small print. The full warranty terms — in one sheet.
What you decide: nothing. That’s it. You’ve arrived.
“I know exactly how to live with it — and what it is not.”
If something is off
We thought about it in advance.
Five scenarios, in the open — not behind a click. Each one has an action and an address. The address is always us.
Arrived damaged?
Don’t lay the board — photograph it and contact us with your reference number, on WhatsApp or by phone. The warranty covers manufacturing defects; the remedy is replacement material. 25 years residential. The address for handling it is CARETTA — no one else to chase.
The shade reads differently from what you expected?
Every model’s colour is measured from the real plank with an instrument, and the measurement is published on its model page — that is the reference, not a screen image. Room light changes how a shade reads through the day; check against the measurement and the board in the space itself, and talk to us before laying.
The existing floor isn’t level, or has deep grout lines?
Not something to discover midway: a floating installation needs a level, sound and dry base. A thin levelling layer resolves most cases — and it is settled at the scope stage, before ordering.
A supply delay?
We update you on our own initiative the moment we know — with your reference number at hand and a person to talk to. A set installation date moves together with you, against the installers’ schedule.
Future damage — standing water or a sharp object?
These are the two things this floor does not forgive, and we say so up front. It happened? Contact us with a photo and your reference number — we will say honestly what the warranty covers and what it does not, by the terms of the sheet.
Worth knowing: water-resistant for everyday use · not a waterproofing system · not a flood-proof claim · scratches and impact are not covered by the warranty.
