WHAT THIS FLOOR ACTUALLY IS

Handles everyday spills — kitchens and dry interiors, detailed correctly
Water-resistant for everyday use. Not a waterproofing system. Not a flood-proof claim. Clean with a damp mop; remove free water promptly.
Warm underfoot — ready for underfloor heating
Compatible with underfloor heating — declared for the product family, not measured by us per batch. The floor floats, so it follows the heat without being fixed to the screed.
Made for daily life — chairs, shoes, pets
Real long planks — a calmer, continuous floor
Full 1.83 m boards with a fine four-sided micro-bevel — our declared joint.
Ultra-matte — reads as real floor, never plastic

Good to know Think twice for a cool, minimal scheme — this ground is warm and rich.

CHOOSING · IS THIS THE RIGHT FLOOR

ARCHITECTURAL POSITION

1997-08 is among the warmest floors of the eighteen, and its grain is calm — the warmth arrives as colour, not as pattern. In a room of slate, stone and ochre plaster it is the single source of heat, and it holds the space without raising its voice. Harbour light is reflected and high in contrast, and this amber deepens under it rather than washing out.

Where it works

  • Rooms of stone, slate and plaster that need one warm plane
  • Tall rooms and vertical proportions, where the ground should feel solid
  • Interiors lit by reflected rather than direct light
  • Living and dining rooms meant to feel domestic, not mineral

Where not to oversell it

Not for wet areas, standing water or as a ceramic replacement, and not solid timber. In a cool, minimal, low-colour scheme this ground reads as a deliberate contrast — if that is not the intention, it is the wrong floor.

Best beside

  • Ochre-to-salmon lime plaster
  • Dark slate
  • Chestnut and dark timber joinery
  • Aged bronze
  • Heavy matte linen

Avoid beside

  • Marina and yacht styling
  • Lemon-and-blue Riviera colour
  • Gloss and varnish
  • Cold white or blue-grey walls
  • A second strong warm colour competing with it

PORTOFINO 1997-08

Warmth can be loud, or it can be the quiet heat of a room.

In a room of stone and pale plaster, this is the one warm note. No raised voice.

BEFORE YOU ASK · WHAT A QUOTE HERE MEANS

What it includes

A quote is itemised line by line — boards for your area, edge and threshold profiles, and anything else the job needs. Nothing bundled, nothing assumed.

How it arrives

Send the rooms and their approximate area — by form or WhatsApp. The itemised quote comes back to you personally.

Why no public price list

A floor is priced from its specification: the model, the area, the condition of the existing base and the finishing details. A number published before those are known would be a guess — we don’t guess. Asking costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
